Chair of Elected Leaders
Hello, I’m Mary Riley. I have been a member of Leeming Uniting Church since 1987, when we met in a school classroom. As the pianist, I had the only adult chair. Adult chairs are always available now! I am a retired teacher, with a passion for ‘Early Childhood’.In the 2010s I joined a small group and my spiritual growth “took off”. Now it is my privilege to be chair of the elected leadership team in the caring church family that is the Leeming Congregation. I am a qualified Lay Preacher with a Cert IV in Ministry and Theology and part of the music team worshipping God. I also lead services and conduct the Sacraments.I love all sorts of music, reading, sport, gardening, cooking and, not least of all, my wonderful family. I’m married to Geoff and we have three children and 5 grandchildren.

Treasurer
I have been an active worshiper at Leeming Uniting Church since 2003 and carry out a number of roles including Treasurer and looking after the sound equipment and its set up each Sunday. I have also been a leader for many years working together with the other leaders to successfully transition from having a full-time minister to not having one at all. I occasionally preach and often worship lead.
I live in Leeming with my wife Shirl, have two children and five energetic grandchildren. I am a retired metallurgist having spent more than 40 years in the Australian mining industry and now enjoy model railways.

Elected Leader
I have worshipped at Leeming Uniting since 1994. I am a qualified Lay Preacher with a Cert IV in Ministry and Theology. I completed a year of Biblical Studies at University and a two-year Bethel Bible Study course. I run two small groups and do the didgi at church and am a member of the Elected Leaders Team.
I worked as a teacher for many years in many mining towns and then became Admin Manager in a soil testing Laboratory when we moved to Perth.
I am now a West Australian but was born and brought up in South Africa, moved to England for three and a half years and have now settled in Australia since 1981. I have a passion for craft and cooking. I am married to my wonderful husband, Roy and have two fantastic children and 5 awesome grandchildren.
